YOUTH & AMATEUR ATHLETES

Just like our services for elite and professional athletes, All Pro Sports Medicine provides a comprehensive clinical health maintenance program designed for pediatric athletes, aged 3 to 17.  This program provides the athlete a significant competitive advantage at his or her baseline level, as well as post-injury recovery and rehabilitation. Athletes can expect to see gains in areas such as speed, endurance, muscle recovery and cardiopulmonary function. The program prioritizes safety for young athletes, and offers aggressive athletic benefits far beyond the scope of scholastic training rooms.

Over the years, All Pro Sports Medicine has developed a very specific, unique approach to sports medicine.  Typical clinicians tend to be orthopedic-focused, dedicating their attention to the body’s musculoskeletal system.  This consists of primarily muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments.  However, All Pro Sports Medicine gives attention to the body’s metabolic and physiological systems beneath the surface, similar to the “engine” of a vehicle.  We completely “overhaul” the body’s engine, and essentially “reboot” an athlete’s system, in order to correct metabolic deficits and assure his or her “motor” is performing at optimal capacity.

We achieve these benefits by:

  • Reducing lactic acid – accelerating recovery
  • Increasing skeletal and cardiac muscle oxygenation – improving endurance
  • Boosting isotonic hydration – improving cellular function and vascular hemodynamics
  • Decreasing systemic and localized inflammation – prevents and reduces overall pain and swelling
  • Replacing vital cellular nutrients – improving cerebral, cardiopulmonary and musculoskeletal utility
  • Improving connective tissue elasticity – decreasing risk of injury

With the administration of clinical-grade, hospital-grade medications, the athlete’s body may be able to recover and perform at a much higher level, over a much longer period.  This, in addition to a unique, individualized approach to injuries and the underlying local and systemic inflammation, we can calm the inflammation down and minimize the inflammatory response to future injuries, and/or the demands of each progression in physical therapy, recovery, and rehabilitation.  This greatly accelerates the recovery from athletic injuries and helps the athlete feel better and stronger much sooner than anticipated.

Common Conditions Sustained by Pediatric Athletes

We provide comprehensive clinical sports care for a wide range of children’s athletic injuries including, but not limited to:

  • Acute Soft Tissue Injury (Sprains, strains, deep muscle contusions)
  • Advanced Dehydration
  • Allergic Reactions
  • Asthma
  • Athlete Fatigue
  • Back Spasms
  • Concussions & Postconcussive Symptoms
  • Exacerbated Inflammatory Response
  • Gastrointestinal Symptoms (Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation)
  • Heat Stroke
  • Infections
  • Migraines and Headaches
  • Osgood Schlatter’s Syndrome
  • Swelling

While we cannot necessarily prevent an injury from happening in contact sports, what we CAN DO is accelerate your recovery significantly!!  All Pro Sports Medicine's primary goal is to help our youth athletes achieve and maintain the highest possible level of fitness and performance. We use an evidence-based approach to create an individualized treatment plan for each unique athletic patient. All Pro Sports Medicine is proud to have served athletes performing at the highest levels of competition.

To keep an athlete in top condition, we recommend one monthly round of treatments throughout the entire season and/or offseason, both when the patient is healthy and when he or she is injured. Additional sessions may be necessary in cases of serious injury or athletes with a heavy workload.
