FAQs About Treatment

What Does The Treament Entail?

Each athlete will receive medical and rehabilitative treatments involving clinical medications and procedures, as well as specialized therapeutic modalities, corrective movements, and manual manipulation. In addition, prescription services and family care are included.

How Can I Book A Treatment?

Athletes may call, text or email to formally book a round of treatment and request their preferred dates (2 to 3 consecutive days). The clinician will find space on his/her calendar and confirm that those dates work with your schedule. Once you confirm, your treatment is officially booked. If not at the clinic, you will likely be visiting the clinician at a hotel suite in your area, or in your own home. [Note: Groups take priority over individuals when requesting dates on the calendar.] Click here toreach out!

How Does The Treatment Process Work?

The clinician will need to see you for 2 to 3 consecutive days, depending on circumstances. Each treatment lasts approximately 60-90 minutes. For newcomers, your initial visit includes signing your patient intake forms explaining the risks and benefits of treatment involving medications, (including HIPAA and informed consent authorizations), plus a comprehensive assessment and detailed exam, so please plan a minimum of 90 minutes. For groups of 5 or more, your session could take a bit longer than average.

*Outcomes are not 100% guaranteed, as goes with any time you use medications, there are always risk of side effects or unsatisfactory results.

Can I Still Practice Or Play The Same Day As Treatment?

Yes! These treatments are designed for you to perform at your absolute best! In fact, you might find it much easier to breathe, easier to recover, and easier to sustain a high level of performance over a longer period of time.

Are The Medications Safe? Is The Treatment Legal?

Absolutely. Patient safety is our top priority. We use only the highest quality, hospital-grade, clinical medications during treatment. We consistently check the banned substance lists across all professional sports leagues for reference, and we never put an athlete at risk of failing a test, or more importantly, risk of harm. **We have NEVER had an athlete fail a drug test for any medications we use during treatment, and thus we have a 100% pass rate.**

How Do I Pay For Treatment? What Does It Cost?

The fees will be discussed with each athlete by the clinician. Athletes are encouraged to form a group of 3 or more individuals, as they will receive a 33% discount each. (Groups of 2 save 21% each.) The cost of treatment includes all medications; medical supplies; all clinical and rehabilitative services; flights, hotels and related travel costs for the clinicians; prescriptions; and family care. Athletes/financial advisors will be invoiced after treatment, and may pay online through the invoice software, or via direct wire, electronic ACH transfer, or a check. Credit cards will be charged an additional 3.75% processing fee.

Medical treatments are a service performed at the patient’s request, and once a patient officially books a treatment, the patient consents to the risks and benefits of the medications involved in the procedures. Treatments are a non-refundable service by the provider(s), and fees are non-negotiable.

Does Insurance Cover Treatment?

We do not bill your treatments to insurance, however they are eligible for reimbursement, if your claim is submitted within 180 days of your treatment. All Pro Sports Medicine is a fee-for-service provider (i.e., elective medical care), so your payment must be received in our office first, and then insurance will review your claim and send a reimbursement check if eligible. The treatments are also tax deductible.

What Will I See On My Invoice?

Your invoice will include your Protected Health Information (PHI), which is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and its Privacy Rule. Our billing coordinators will ONLY send your PHI to the recipient(s) you designate. This protection falls under the HIPAA consent form you sign at your first appointment.

Additionally, your invoice will include your dates of service, the clinician’s information, your diagnosis(es), and the elements of care you received. We bill our services as all-inclusive flat fee, but if you decide to use your own insurance specialist to submit your reimbursement claim, a breakdown of the fee schedule can be supplied to him/her upon request. This information is subject to change.

How Does The Concierge Medical Service Work?

For non-athletes, retired-athletes, and just regular joes, we offer a concierge practice to handle your healthcare needs. This includes 24/7 access to your clinician, utilizing both clinical and telehealth approaches, including prescription services. These services are billed on a monthly retainer and are tax-deductible and eligible for insurance reimbursement. Please contact us for discrete, private healthcare.

May I Cancel My Treatment?

When an athlete books a treatment, we reserve (block out) those days on our calendar. Simultaneously, this prevents other athletes from being treated on those days, whether your treatment is conducted or not. There is no charge for cancellations made at least 7 days in advance. Treatments that involve airline travel and/or hotel arrangements are non-refundable, even if the athlete misses his/her appointment or cancels less than 7 days in advance.

Treatments that do not involve airline travel and/or hotel arrangements may be canceled for a 50% refund up until 2 days prior to treatment.

Athletes on season packages who miss a scheduled treatment will be able to make up that missed treatment by assuming the cost of travel accommodations when we fly our staff back out for the make-up treatment.

What is the Goo Primer?

The Goo Primer was designed as a “primer” for The Goo, and its handcrafted formula accomplishes two critical objectives: (1) It promotes deeper penetration of The Goo when applied first as a primer; and (2) Goo Primer slows the absorption of The Goo, thereby extending its duration of efficacy (or the length of time The Goo is effective on the body), an average of 3.5 to 5x longer than rival products. The Goo Primer is a critical step in our therapeutic process.

How long does The Goo last?

The Goo continues to be effective for over nine-and-a-half hours on average, from the time of application to the return (or resolution) of symptoms. This is a minimum of 3.5 to 5 times longer than its competitors, making it the longest-lasting product on the market in its class.

Who can use the Goo Primer and The Goo?

EVERYONE!!! Whether it be the elite athlete, the “weekend warrior", the average joe, the elderly, or anyone in between, they will all benefit from The Goo.

How is The Goo different from all of teh other products of its kind?

(a) The Goo is a "triple hitter,” in that it contains analgesic, anesthetic and anti-inflammatory properties to provide relief of pain, soreness, tightness, spasm, etc. in the soft tissues of the body. (b) The onset of relief “kicks in” in immediately (less than 60 seconds), and stays effective far longer than any other product on the market; nearly 10 hours at minimum. (c) The Goo has been "battle tested,” by real-life professional athletes, unlike most of its competitors.

Are The Goo and Goo Primer safe to use?
